You can apply for a starter loan of up to £2,000 if you are a member of Riverside Credit Union and receive Child Benefit.
To qualify for a starter loan, you need to become a member of Riverside Credit Union and transfer your Child Benefit payments into your Credit Union account. As soon as we start to receive them, you can apply for a loan of up to £2,000, depending on how much Child Benefit you receive.
You must repay this loan in full as per your loan agreement before being eligible for further borrowing.
You must have saved the amount specified in your first loan agreement to be eligible for further loans. You are then subject to the terms of the Saver loan policy.
Starter Loans must be repaid over a period of 40 weeks.
Simply complete our registration form and you can progress through to your loan application at the same time as joining.
